Philippe P. Pébaÿ, PhD
Distinguished Scientist & Chief Executive Officer
Philippe Pébaÿ is a Doctor of Mathematics, a former School of Engineering Associate Professor in Lyon, former Visiting Research Scholar at Princeton University, and former Principal Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories in California. He has 25 years experience in several areas of applied mathematics and computational science, in the United States as well as several European countries, as researcher, developer, project lead, and/or consultant.
Francesco Rizzi, PhD
Principal Scientist & Chief Technical Officer
Dr. Francesco Rizzi has a diversified educational background ranging from engineering, to chemistry and computational physics. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, U.S.A. He has experienced working and collaborating with industries, government labs, and universities worldwide.
Broadly speaking, his profile lies at the intersection of applied mathematics, engineering and high-performance computing (HPC).
His main interests and expertise include uncertainty quantification, HPC, resilience and fault-tolerance, task-based programming models, continuum and discrete physics, programming languages, Bayesian inference, and inverse problems.
Sean McGovern, PhD
Principal Scientist & Director of Scientific Computing
Sean was trained in physical science (Physics, MS, Virginia) and computational science at the Forschungszentrum Juelich (Geophysics, PhD, Bonn).
Sean worked in applied mathematics as a Post-Doc at INRIA/Universite Cote D'Azur before joining NGA in 2022.
Since May 2023, Sean is a Principal Scientist and the Director of Scientific Computing, leading the Chapel Hill, NC office.
